The world's most heavily guarded street

Is it in front of the Whitehouse? The Pentagon? The UN? Any Israeli consulate anywhere in the world?

No, silly, it's Prague's "most visited street" (according to all the tourist propaganda), the Golden Lane!

You see here one plainsclothes and four uniformed security personnel, vigilantly defending the former shanty-town where Kafka briefly lived with his sister in 1917. To actually set foot on the street, one has a to purchase a ticket — all in order to be permitted to visit... gift shops. Trinket stores. And the Franz Kafka cafĂ©.

Again, I think he might have appreciated this.
